Registered Nurse (RN) – Flexible, Per-Assessment Role
Ideal for a retired or semi-retired nurse who still wants to make an impact
Ideal for a retired or semi-retired nurse who still wants to make an impact
I’m looking for a Registered Nurse to join me at HomeWell Care Services here in the Wilmington/Carolina Beach area. This is not a corporate role—you’ll be working directly with me in a boutique, owner-led agency where we take a very personal approach to care.
I’m very hands-on with our clients and families, and I’m looking for a nurse who shares that same level of attention, thoughtfulness, and heart.
This role is perfect for someone who has stepped away from full-time nursing but still wants to stay connected in a meaningful way—without the stress, long shifts, or heavy caseload.
Compensation
- $40/hour
- Flexible, per-assessment scheduling
What You’ll Be Doing
- Completing in-home assessments based on client needs
- Partnering with me to develop personalized, thoughtful care plans
- Reviewing caregiver notes and documentation to ensure quality and consistency
- Identifying any changes in condition and providing guidance as needed
- Helping ensure each client’s home environment is safe and appropriate for care
Why This Role Stands Apart
- You choose when you work—true flexibility
- No long shifts, no burnout, no heavy caseload
- You’ll be part of a “white glove” approach to care—not one-size-fits-all
- Direct collaboration with me as the owner—I’m involved every step of the way
- Your experience is valued and trusted
What I’m Looking For
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Someone who is calm, thoughtful, and communicates with ease
- Experience in home care is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- CPR/First Aid certification
At the end of the day, I treat my clients like family—and I treat my team the same way. If you’re looking for a role where you can step back from the pace of traditional nursing but still do meaningful, high-quality work, I’d love to connect.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CNA or HHA license preferred or 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part-time work caring for geriatric or chronically ill persons
- Exceptional communication skills
- Reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Proof of current TB testing
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position
- Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable
- Pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state)
BENEFITS
- We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)
- We provide liability insurance
- We provide worker’s compensation
- We provide flexible schedules
