Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize physical, emotional, and educational needs.
• Formulate nursing diagnoses and care plans based on assessment findings.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per policy, maintaining safety and infection control standards.
• Monitor patient conditions and treatment effectiveness, initiating timely interventions and communicating with providers as needed.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding of care plans, procedures, and psychosocial needs.
• Interpret and execute physician orders accurately, seeking clarification when necessary.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and medications, adjusting care based on patient response.
• Oversee and guide nursing assistants and technicians to ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Prioritize patient care tasks and manage competing demands using sound clinical judgment.
• Ensure timely completion of documentation, shift reports, and execution of ordered procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Current licensure to practice as an RN in Louisiana is required.
2. One (1) year of physician office practice experience is preferred.
3. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
4. Familiarity with professional billing is preferred.
