What You'll Do:

 

As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the nursing staff within a dedicated unit. Your role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of quality care, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and support staff within the unit
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring individualized resident care
  • Supervise daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Conduct regular assessments to maintain quality standards and compliance
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to nursing staff

Qualifications of a Unit Manager include:

  • Valid state RN nursing license
  • Advanced degree or certification preferred
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred

Daly 6B offers elbow-to-elbow support and comes fully equipped to help you do what YOU do best, provide for our patients! DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: 42 bed Medical Stepdown unit equipped with bedside hemodynamic measuring (21 beds) and 24 hour monitoring of those systems. 21 medical beds with telemetry capabilities, as well as continuous O2 monitoring. Unit frequently cares for trached vent dependent patients as well as Bipap/CPap rescue needs and Hi Flow O2 delivery systems. Patient ratios of 1:5 on Medical unit & 1:3 on Intercare unit. This unit is supported by a nurse educator as well as an evening clinical nurse coordinator. Also supported around the clock by respiratory therapy and APP/MD on site, as well as ancillary support, ( monitor techs, ambulation techs, PCTS and Operations assistants) We provide supportive, individualized, and tailored orientation . The only major referral care center and the only Level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center in the area. Our 72,000 square foot ED is equipped with 94 private rooms, separate pediatric ED, separate behavioral health rooms and top-of-the-line technology. Providers are engaged in the department process. BMC is a major referral care center and the only Level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center in the area.
