We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse (Generalist) at Chester County OB/GYN in West Chester, PA with additional locations in Kennett Square, Downingtown & Exton.
Office Hours : Monday-Thursday 7:30AM-4PM, Friday 7:30AM-3PM and one evening shift/week 11:30AM-7PM.
Essential Functions :
- Evaluates and assesses patient’s health care needs based on patient’s signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines
- Obtains appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care
- Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response. Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.
Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in documenting within an electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and function in a fast-paced environment
- Competency in phlebotomy and standard nursing procedures
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Must hold current and unrestricted Registered Nursing license applicable to care center's location(s)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an outpatient clinical setting preferred
- Phlebotomy experience required
- CPR certification required
- Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR strongly preferred
- Familiarity with OB/GYN or women’s health patient populations beneficial
- Understanding of lab order sets and CPT coding a plus
- Willingness to support at satellite locations if needed
Pay or shift range: $30 to $37/hr
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
