Observing Universal Protocol at all times provides clinical assistance to patients and notifies appropriate medical personnel of potential critical patient conditions. Will obtain Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification within 6 months. Exercise independent judgment in the assessment of patient's needs, and identifies clinical priorities throughout the Infusion Suite. Responds appropriately to resolving issues that impact patient care. Assures fiscal compliance related to patient billing and coding. Correctly bill patients for services and accurately document to support charges. Competes mandatory educational requirements in a timely manner. Assists Outpatient Infusion Manager, Professional Development Coordinator/Educators in planning and presenting unit-based in-services. Completes annual competencies for Infusion administration and Nursing. Responds to patient requests and proactively addresses patient needs using a multi and interdisciplinary approach. Works with the unit team to address patient satisfaction scores and works with unit leadership to develop and implement action plans.
