Nurse Assistant – Medical-Surgical Floor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Assistant to join our team on the busy 14-bed medical - surgical floor at our high acuity care hospital. As a Nurse Assistant, you will provide direct patient care for patients, working closely with the charge nurse and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding

Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the charge nurse

Assist in transferring and positioning patients

Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Maintain a clean and safe patient environment

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Qualifications

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Excellent communication skills

Prior experience in a surgical or high acuity care setting is preferred but not mandatory.

As a Sweet Dreams CNA You Will: (includes but not limited to) Spend quality one on one time with patients and their families to support everyday needs Care for hospice patients by providing paths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen as often as needed Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene regimens as required Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch Provide lotion rubs to hands and feet Perform personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly.
