Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Full-Time Position 2pm-10pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our team at Advanced Rehabilitation & Healthcare of Live Oak in Live Oak, Texas. As a CNA, you will provide non-professional direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for our residents.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and changing bed linens
Assist with resident recreation programs and prepare residents for meals and snacks
Read and follow daily care plans, perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge
Document care provision on resident records/flowsheets as required and report accidents and incidents
Provide nursing functions as directed by supervisor
Maintain a safe, clean, and infection-free environment by following safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures
Safety, Sanitation, and Infection Control:
Understand and follow safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures, including proper hand washing, wearing of masks and gloves, and reporting of violations to the supervisor
In-service and Continuing Education:
Attend orientation and in-service as required by the state
Complete all required online education as deemed necessary by the state and the facility
Resident Rights and Relationships:
Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding residents' rights
Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and government regulators
Other Job Functions:
Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
Attend and participate in training, educational activities, and staff meetings
Assist with orientation and training of other staff
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Work in a climate-controlled and well-lighted environment
Work in an office and throughout the building daily
Ability to walk, reach, climb, bend, lift, grasp, fine hand coordination, push, and pull
Ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures
Ability to communicate with residents and employees
Ability to understand and follow training
Ability to instruct staff in service education
Qualifications:
Must be a Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the State
Must have ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
