Summary

The NAR/CNA is responsible for assisting the professional nurse in the delivery of care. intake/output, meals and activities of daily living.*
Maintains a safe, clean environment for patients and staff by following infection control and safety policies and
procedures.*
Supports and upholds the Patient's Bill of Rights.*
Performs all duties as assigned.*
Always uses appropriate lifting techniques when lifting/moving patients/equipment.*
Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is appropriate for the given task.*
Reports accidents or incidents and safety hazards promptly.*
Cleans equipment, spills, etc. as necessary.*
Always uses appropriate equipment (i.e. transfer belts, Hoyer) when moving patients.*
Ensures patient privacy by knocking, pulling privacy curtains & draping patient.*
Ensures the dignity of the patient by consistently using respectful language.*
Keeps patient rooms neat, clean and orderly without prompting. Keeps kitchenette neat, clean and stocked
without prompting. Keeps hallways clear of food carts, equipment, etc.*

Required Education and Experience

Registered with the MN Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Possession of attention to detail, organization and prioritization skills.
Computer skills and ability to document EHR.
BLS - CPR required.
