As a Full Time Medical Assistant (MA), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Tulsa, OK. The scheduled hours are 4/10 hour shifts rotating Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm.



What You’ll Do

  • Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
  • Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
  • Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
  • Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
  • State Lab Certificate (NV only)
  • CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Assist with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Perform select clinical duties. Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment. May document the provider's encounter with patients. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Medical Assistant obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable What additional preferences we're seeking Prior CMA experience preferred MA Certification and/or Registration in good standing through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA Must either be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or in school currently to obtain your CMA/RMA.
