The Board of Registered Nursing for the state of California defines the nature of the direction and supervision required. Requirements: Minimum Experience: Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. At least, three (3) years of experience in ICU/CCU preferred. Skills: Patient Assessment, Critical thinking, documentation, and communication. Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the plan of care. Collaborates with other health professionals to coordinate, monitor and direct patient care. Meets patient/family needs in a cost effective manner through efficient use of resources. Required License/Certifications: Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California, Current Basic Life Support (AHA), NIHSS Certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support up (AHA) on hire. ABM/MAB within 60 days of hire, annual thereafter. Other: Must have the ability to meet essential functions of the job with/without accommodations. Physical Requirements: Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, perceptive acuity (i.e. visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct/indirect patient care functions.
