A contract opportunity is now available for a skilled nursing professional to be part of a school setting, reporting directly to the Building Principal for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Professional Educator License with School Nurse Endorsement (SN) and/or Registered Nurse (RN) certification
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Legal Nurse, or Certified School Nurse (CSN) credentials are valued
- Experience providing healthcare support at the elementary or middle school level
- Knowledge of, or experience with, the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process
- Previous work in meeting the diverse medical needs of children
- Understanding of the role of public schools in economic and community development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and maintain detailed records
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- Willingness to learn and implement a play-based evaluation model
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and manage student health services on a daily basis
- Participate in IEP meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Respond to medical emergencies and administer medications as prescribed
- Provide health education to students, families, and staff
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
