Unit Bio

This position is an endoscopy intraprocedural role with call commitment. The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care – MCH role is responsible for the management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN’s require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN’s require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines
  • Experience: One year of RN experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse – Acute Care role.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.

This role will begin with developing a strong understanding and confidence in the RN triage function, with the expectation that the nurse will progressively expand into patient navigation responsibilities as they grow within the practice. The ideal candidate will have three or more years of oncology experienceand demonstrate foundational leadership abilities that can be applied in this setting. This individual will serve as a change champion, supporting team initiatives and contributing meaningful value to the ongoing growth, development, and forward progression of the practice. This position will be located at 265 Western Ave in South Portland until April 17th, 2026 and will transition to our new location at 100 Campus Suite 108 in Scarborough on April 20th , 2026. Summary The Registered Nurse – Patient Navigator – MHMG MMCP role guides patients through the care continuum, establishing contact with recurrent and newly diagnosed cancer patients and/or family members, or caregivers. The Patient Navigator will understand the clinical pathways established by the Oncology Program and will direct the patients to health care services within the organization, at outside facilities, and within the community for timely diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required or must complete BSN within three years of start date. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
