Requirements:

• It is preferred that the Nursing Assistant will have a minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program.
• Applicants and employees will have graduated from an approved Nurse Aide Training program, or be eligible to enter such a program and graduate and pass a state approved competency evaluation with 120 days from the date of employment.
• Nursing Assistants will be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.

Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility. Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry. Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license.
