Nurse Manager Behavioral Health

Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana (and part of the UHS Healthcare System) and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult populations.  In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well.  Wellstone is currently looking for a Nurse Manager for our Nursing Department.

 

The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who shares delegated responsibility with the Chief Nursing Officer in all matters related to program issues, unit staff, patient management and daily FTE’s.  The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the units they are assigned, including accountability of staff.  They will participate in the hiring process and will work with Staff Development in developing education for staff.  Assists the Chief Nursing Officer with compliance to hospital policies and procedures.

 

This position supervises various Mental Health Technicicans, LPNs, and RNs and is a safety sensitive position.

This is a salaried, exempt position. Hours may vary.

 

$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE!

 


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licensure in the State of Indiana

1-3 years experience in Nursing, preferably in Behavioral Health.

Must have or be able to take and pass CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CPR.

Must be able to pass an extensive background check, CPS check, and drug test.

Must be an effective communicator both written and verbal.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

Current license to practice nursing in State of Facility/Hospital (or eligible to receive or renew).
Current CPR or BLS certification.
Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+ (but NOT required.)

During the recruitment process, no recruiter or employee will request financial or personal information (e.g., Social Security Number, credit card, or bank information, etc.) from you via email. Our recruiters will not email you from a public webmail client like Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc. If you suspect a fraudulent job posting or job-related email mentioning UHS or its subsidiaries, we encourage you to report such concerns to appropriate law enforcement. We encourage you to refer to legitimate UHS and UHS subsidiary career websites to verify job opportunities and not rely on unsolicited calls from recruiters.
