Clinical Support Supervisor (RN) - Elk Ridge (Flagstaff) - Family Medicine

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient team as a Clinical Support Supervisor. This leadership role oversees the daily clinical operations of medical support staff (MAs, LPNs, RNs) and ensures the highest standards of patient care in a collaborative and efficient environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, training, orientation, and performance evaluations for Medical Assistants and non-licensed clinical staff under the direction of an LPN/RN.
  • Assist providers with direct patient care
  • Enter medication refill requests for clinician/RN/LPN review using approved standing orders and protocols.
  • Ensure accurate documentation by clinical support staff in accordance with organizational and state standards.
  • Assist the Clinic Manager in maintaining clinic readiness for state and regulatory surveys.
  • Order and track inventory for clinical supplies and medications
  • Perform approved clinical procedures (within scope) under supervision, such as venipuncture, ECGs, dressing changes, suture/staple removal, and ear lavage.

 

Qualifications

  • Have or qualify to be licensed in Arizona as RN or LPN
  • Previous experience supervising or training clinical support staff strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and EHR systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
