The role of the medical assistant and licensed nursing assistant is vital to the care of our patients. Primary responsibilities include assisting patients with their provider visits (obtaining vital signs, point of care testing — EKG, urine dips, bladder scans, A1C, throat and nasal swabs, etc. — vaccine administration, and assisting with procedures. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment and a variety in their work while caring for patients of all ages. Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
- Previous experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Computer skills strongly preferred.
- Must be willing and able to participate in evening, weekend, and holiday coverage according to needs of the department.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Healthcareers Association plus DOL Registered Apprenticeships Certificate of Completion.
- Current BLS certification required.
