
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant | Advanced Practitioners - OB/GYN - Maternal Fetal Medicine | Day | Full-Time
Overview
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) team. Under the supervision of attending physicians, this position will provide comprehensive, specialized care to patients with high-risk pregnancies, including those with maternal comorbidities, fetal anomalies, multiple gestations, and other complex obstetric conditions.
The MFM APP will play a critical role in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting the management of medically and obstetrically complex patients through detailed assessments, diagnostic interpretation, care coordination, and patient education. Responsibilities include performing history and physical examinations, developing and implementing care plans, assisting with procedures, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team. The candidate will also have opportunities to participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and academic activities within a leading academic health system.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Credentialing:
- Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within the health system.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current and clear license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
- National certification appropriate to specialty (e.g., FNP, WHNP, CNM, or PA‑C).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or NRP may be required or preferred.
Additional Requirements / Specialty:
- Experience or strong interest in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, high-risk obstetrics, maternal comorbidities, and fetal conditions preferred.
- Ability to manage medically and obstetrically complex patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, documentation, and care coordination skills.
