Caregiver (PRN) Weekends Only - Las Cruces, NM

Overview

Heritage Home Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dependable PRN caregivers in the Las Cruces, NM area to provide delegated personal care services in a home setting. In this role, you will support clients with activities of daily living, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity. This position requires consistent availability on Saturdays and Sundays and is ideal for individuals seeking flexible weekend work while making a meaningful impact in the Las Cruces community.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transfers and positioning
  • Support medication reminders and delegated care tasks per care plan and state guidelines
  • Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a safe home environment
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement
  • Escort or transport clients to appointments and errands within the Las Cruces area
  • Observe, document, and report changes in client condition to the clinical team
  • Follow all care plans and delegation instructions from licensed professionals

Qualifications
  • Must be available Saturdays and Sundays (weekend availability required)
  • Weekday shifts are not available for this role
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Previous caregiving experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel between client homes in the Las Cruces, NM area
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
