Job Summary

As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing team on our sub-acute and long-term care unit. You will ensure that medications are appropriately administered, provide vaccinations, and render treatment to patients under the supervision of physicians. Additionally, you will communicate with medical professionals, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and update patient plans of care, and respond to inquiries and concerns from patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nurses on the unit to ensure medications are appropriately administered, provide vaccinations, and render treatment to patients
• Communicate with physicians, licensed practice nurses, radiologists, laboratory, pharmacy, and other medical professionals as needed
• Collaborate with IDT Team to create and update Plan of Care for each patient
• Respond to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from patients and their families or guardians
• Round the unit to ensure all residents' clinical and psychosocial needs are being appropriately met
