Position Overview:

As a FT PreOp RN, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, ensuring patient comfort, and delivering exceptional preoperative care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preoperative assessments, including reviewing patient medical histories, medication and current health status.
  • Educate patients and families about the surgical process, ensuring they are informed and at ease.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing

  • Active RN license in the state

  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center

  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
