Position Description: 

Under the direction of the Department Manager, Registered Nurse, and / or Charge Nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care for patients and is guided by the policies and procedures of Nursing department and the hospital. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care of the critically ill patient. Follows the California Vocational Nurse Practice Act.


Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

  • 1-year previous experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Graduate of and approved/accredited Vocational School of Nursing.
  • Current Vocational Nurse licensure in the State of California. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) training for health care providers.
  • CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
