What You’ll Do:

As a Certified NP, you will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, diagnosing, treating, and guiding patients to better health. No two days are the same!


Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
  • Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
  • Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
  • Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients by performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, and prescribing treatments within their scope of practice. Key Responsibilities: Screen patients to determine their need for medical attention. Perform history taking and problem-focused physical exams. Conduct pre-operative full physical exams. Diagnose orthopedic conditions. Record data in the patient electronic medical record. Assign durable medical equipment and refer for physical therapy as needed. Perform injections, strapping, splinting, and casting for sprains and fractures, as well as remove such devices. Provide general wound care, including dressing and bandage application. Conduct pre-operative counseling as needed. Prescribe narcotic and non-narcotic pain medications, anti-inflammatories, and anti-infectives when appropriate. Order and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and bone scans.
