The Clinical Nurse, Procedural provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in accordance with physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of current nurse practice within the state of California and Center policies and procedures. Orders or oversees the ordering of medication and supplies on a weekly basis based on upcoming patient census. Holds monthly staff meetings to keep staff apprised of policy additions and revisions, findings of QI studies and implications, to relay pertinent information, and to allow employees to share ideas and concerns. Serves as a member of the QAPI Committee, compiles QI data and assists in achieving compliance to QI measures at the Center. Assists the Safety Officer in implementing the Safety Program at the Center and ensures that environmental and electrical safety policies and procedures are followed.
