Job Summary

At NJ14, SYNERGY HomeCare of Piscataway, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and companionship to seniors in their own homes. As a Companion for Seniors, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing emotional support, assistance with daily living activities, and engaging in activities that bring joy and fulfillment.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes, focusing on their unique needs and interests
Assist with daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, and medication reminders
Engage in activities that stimulate mental and physical well-being, such as puzzles, reading, and exercise
Encourage social interaction and community engagement, promoting a sense of connection and belonging
Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring the client's home is free from hazards and clutter
Collaborate with caregivers and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and address any changes in client needs

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
1 year of experience working with seniors or in a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as transferring clients or pushing mobility aids
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)
