This full time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity at Mesilla Valley Hospital offers 36 hours per week, full time benefits, and a night shift schedule providing care in our 120 bed inpatient facility.

Mesilla Valley Hospital is a free standing 120 bed psychiatric hospital in Lac Cruces, New Mexico that provides mental health and drug and alcohol addiction services for adolescents, adults, and seniors. Las Cruces offers a mild climate and the very best that nature has to offer with the breathtaking ORgan Mountains and proximity to the Rio Grande Valley.

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
BLS required
NM RN license or Nursing Compact state license required (or eligible to receive/renew)

Supervising care treatment and services of client care provided by LPNs, CNAs and other staff on assigned unit and shift. Roles and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of client, develops and implements nursing care plans, maintains medical records and educates clients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions while ensuring client safety at all times. Assesses clients’ status on an ongoing basis and communicates finding to the providers timely. Ensures nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and initial treatment plan is completed upon admission. Obtains provider’s orders (verbal or via telephone) accurately and documents appropriately; transcribes and reviews provider’s orders ensuring all required elements are present and appropriate per policy and procedures.
