Completes dept/hospital required competencies as required.
Attends mandatory facility meeting as required.
Attends department meetings as required.
Performs breath and/or urine substance abuse testing in accordance with established policies/procedures and ensure appropriate disposition of specimen via lab or courier pick up.
Escorts patient required diagnostic testing in other hospital departments to those areas when necessary in a safe and courteous manner.
Transports urine, blood or other biologic specimens to lab following established policies/procedures.
Communicates appropriate patient information via phone, fax, or email to services coordination, employers, or insurance agents for purposes of return to work, continuum of care, and/or reimbursement.
Picks up supplies from other hospital departments as instructed.
Accepts other duties as assigned.
