Unit Highlights:
This facility houses a 40 plus bed Medical Progressive Care Stroke Unit in our new tower. Patient ratios depend on acuity and census ranges from 1:4-5.
The Medical PCU team responds to the Rapid Response Team calls in a fast and efficient manner.
This unit has an LPN Model and works together in a high energized family-oriented team alongside the rest of our whole team for best patient care outcomes.
Progressive Care serves all medical conditions within a well-equipped and spacious unit featuring computerized documentation technology.
Floating may be required between PCU and ICU units based on census.
Schedule: Full-Time - Nights - 645p-715a - 3/12s - rotating weekends and holidays
Job Description:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
