This Nurse Residency position is for those graduating with their RN prior to September or licensed RNs with little to no experience. Expected start date to be in September.Anticipate all GN positions to be Full-Time (36 hours/week), and night shift (7pm-7am)

The questionnaire will allow you to indicate which units you are most interested in, but below are brief unit descriptions for positions we are currently hiring Graduate Nurses for:
-Adult Critical Care Internship
The critical care internship gives the nurse a unique opportunity to experience a variety of critical care units before deciding which environment is the best fit. During that time you will train in each of the five clinical areas: Burn ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, and Trauma/Surgical ICU
-Intermediate Critical Care
As a Graduate Nurse in our MSICCU/IMCU Orientation Rotation, you’ll have the unique opportunity to experience both the Medical-Surgical Intermediate Critical Care Unit (MSICCU) and the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) during your orientation period. This structured rotation allows you to gain valuable exposure to each area, learn from the same leadership team, and develop confidence in caring for this patient population. After orientation, you will transition into a dedicated home unit that best fits your skills and interests, ensuring you start your nursing career with strong support and the right environment to grow.
Highlighting a care model that places focus on nurses delivering exceptional care and emphasizes a Primary Care Nursing model with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-4. Nurses serving in this unit care for a diverse patient population including but not limited to neurological, medical, advanced pulmonary requiring CPAP, BiPAP, AVAPS, high-flow oxygen, or mechanical ventilation via tracheostomy, surgical, trauma, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, metabolic, continuous intermediate cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, and patients requiring nursing interventions every 2 hours for (neuro checks, complex wound care, glucose monitoring, blood pressure, etc..); vital signs hourly for up to 4 hours.
-Family Birth Center (Labor & Deliver)
The Family Birth Center’s labor and delivery suites offer patients the comfort and advantage of remaining in one room for labor, delivery, and recovery. The Family Birth Center consists of 17 LDR suites, 6 Triage Bays, 3 Operating Rooms, and a 4 bed PACU. Nurses gain knowledge and expertise in antepartum care of high-risk obstetrical patients, intrapartum care/labor support, electronic fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, breastfeeding management/support, newborn assessment/care, and OR/PACU nursing. Nurses in the Family Birth Center adhere to the highest evidence-based quality standards in a family-centered environment.
-Neonatal ICU
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 41 bed Level IV critical care unit. NICU nurses are experienced in caring for premature infants, a variety of different acute and chronic disease processes as well as pediatric surgeries. NICU nurses are Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified. The NICU collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and a variety of specialists including pediatric surgery, pediatric cardiologists, pediatric neurology, pediatric urology, pediatric orthopedics and palliative care. The NICU houses the NICU/Pediatric transport team which receives special training. Our transport team transports neonates/infants from a 350-mile radius. The nurses in the NICU thrive on a teamwork environment and provide the highest quality of care to their patients and families.
Qualifications:
-Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
-Valid Texas GN Permit or newly licensed RN with no experience
-BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire
-Must maintain a current BLS & ACLS certification from American Heart
