How you’ll make an impact in this role

Equips and optimizes the operating suite with specialized sterile and non-sterile cardiovascular/neuro instruments and supplies, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques before incision.
Facilitates seamless procedural flow by accurately anticipating and passing critical instrumentation, sutures, and supplies to the surgical team during complex, high-stakes interventions.
Collaborates in the safe preparation, transportation, precise positioning, and sterile draping of patients to optimize surgical access while preventing pressure injuries.
Organizes intraoperative setups and maintains meticulous tracking of instruments, sponges, and sharps to ensure 100% accuracy and guarantee patient safety.
Provides active, real-time assistance to the surgical team in achieving hemostasis and managing specialized equipment throughout the procedure.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
