What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certified Medical Assistant obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Approved credentialing bodies include, but may not be limited to: American Medical Technologists, National Healthcare Assoc, National Center for Competency Testing, National Assoc for Health Professionals and American Assoc of Medical Assistants. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Provides patient care in the Occupational Health setting in office or onsite under the supervision of the medical provider. Meets the communication needs of the companies, patients and medical provider. Maintains and follows regulatory requirement and policies and procedures. Communicates with medical providers and staff about patient’s clinical condition Customer Services: Welcoming patients and visitors. Answering and referring inquiries within scope of practice. Telephone: Answers telephone, processes calls, schedules patients for appointments and document appropriately within medical records. Returns all messages in a timely manner. Maintains communication between medical staff, administrative staff, companies and/or patient/families. Clinical Services: Maintains and updates medical records. Performs breath and/or urine substance abuse testing in accordance with established policies/procedures and ensure appropriate disposition of specimen via lab or courier pick up. Administers medications/vaccinations as ordered by medical provider. Assists in appointment scheduling and onsite services scheduling.
