Job Overview
As part of the Clinical Resource (CR) Team, the Clinical Resource (CR) Nurse plans a key role in supporting bedside clinical teams in the delivery of family centered care. The actions of the Clinical Resource Nurse reflect professional nursing practice with a team approach and holds an expectation to promote and maintain quality patient care, manage nursing operations, assist in teaching nursing staff, enforce procedures, policies, practices, and standards of the facility. The Clinical Resource Nurse serves as a clinical subject matter expert to team members on the Clinical Resource Team.
The Clinical Nurse Resource may begin their shift in one unit and based on a change in census and acuity be reallocated to a different unit to meet operational needs. However, it is also possible for the Clinical Nurse Resource to experience extended periods of time in one department to offset long-term absences through the Months Program.
