As a Direct Support Professional For Devereux You Will

  • Provide safe and appropriate care for all Pocono Center residents
  • Be responsible for supervision of residents and seeing that their physical, emotional and personal needs are met
  • Assist in hygiene tasks such as showering or toileting
  • Support individuals throughout daily routine, including joining them in community outings
  • Attend in-service training programs to develop skills
  • Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by coordinator

Competitive Pay: $18.00–$20.52/hr based on experience, education, and shift

      • Earn up to $0.50/hr in shift differentials
      • Earn an additional $0.25/hr with a Bachelor's degree
      • Earn an additional $0.29/hr if you have an active CNA
      • $1/hr increase to base pay with an active NADSP Level 1 Certification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education OR other related field or High School Diploma with 12 years relevant Human Service experience required.
  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Driver’s license is required.
