Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse provides quality nursing care established by regulatory standards to adults / aging adults requiring hemodialysis / peritoneal in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education Qualifications:

  • Required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing

Certification Qualifications:

  • Required: Current Illinois Nursing License
  • Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
  • Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross ACLS)

Experience Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of dialysis nursing preferred
  • Training is provided for those without dialysis experience
  • Requires ability to work as part of a team and willing to assist others when needed

Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred. 7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
