Position Overview: Majestic Care RNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit. Key Responsibilities: Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans. Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs. Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders. Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel. Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act. Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents. Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments. Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as an RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required. Summary This position is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient during a surgical procedure, and ensures that policies and procedures are met and maintains patient safety. Outlines individual care plans, implements, evaluates and documents care of patient during surgery. Provides leadership to the Riecker Surgery Center team, communicates with patient and family, Surgery Center team and manager and ancillary departments. Participates in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education. Assists anesthesia and performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities (40%)* Assesses the needs of the surgical patient and develops a plan of care specific for that patient. Implements and evaluates the plan of care during the procedure and makes necessary adjustments keeping patient safety a priority. (20%)* Supervises activity in room. Summary Under direct supervision of the specialty provider, will be responsible for patient assessment and care, and maintaining appropriate documentation. This position must have knowledge of specialty care and able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients. This position is responsible for coordinating care to assure high quality, compassionate patient care is provided. They will maintain and oversee patients at the office locations and will act as the liaison with other health care providers, organizations and departments. This position may be required to order all medical, pharmacy supplies, and office supplies to manage patient care.
