Job Overview

Shriners Children's, is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team.

This is a full time position, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $32.55 - $48.83. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.

Responsibilities

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures. You'll assist in preparation of surgical services to ensure suite setup is appropriate.

Requirements include:

In-depth knowledge of principles of sterile technique; General knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures with emphasis on our specific procedures; Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures with emphasis on operating room policies and procedures. Knowledge of surgical principals of decontamination, sterilization process and operation of flash and steam autoclaves and washer decontamination.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to multitask, utilization of constructive consideration when working with families, patients, coworkers, and physicians.
