Job Opportunity: RN Registered Nurse Supervisor

Starting Pay: $52.00 per hour

Differentials Offered:

  • Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

  • 40 hours: Day shift (7-3) Monday thru Friday only (no scheduled weekends).

  • Per Diem (no set schedule) Rate of $50 hourly

Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, overseeing, and executing nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Supervising day-to-day nursing activities to guarantee residents receive top-quality care consistently.

  • Collaborating with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions for shifts.

  • Coordinating nursing activities in alignment with medical requirements, physician directives, and general care plans.

  • Managing and directing charge nurses to ensure residents receive proper care.

  • Adjusting care plans in collaboration with medical staff to address emergency medical needs.

  • In absence of superiors, RN Supervisor assumes total responsibility for operating decisions required by the circumstances of the moment.

  • Ensuring adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notifying residents' personal physicians in case of significant changes in their condition or immediate medical care needs.

Qualifications:

  • The RN Registered Nurse Supervisor must hold a current state RN license and be a Registered Nurse in good standing.

  • Must have previous experience in a supervisory capacity.

  • Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • The RN Registered Nurse Supervisor demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.

  • Long term care experience preferred.

  • Must be knowledgeable of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care.

Additional Expectations: All M-F RN Supervisor positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents approximately every 4 weeks. On-call compensation details available upon inquiry. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.

Registered Nurse Supervisor of Clinical Services (RN)

Supervisor of Clinical Services Reports To: Director of Clinical Services / Regional Clinical Director Department: Clinical Services Location: Connecticut (Fieldbased / Homecare and facility visits) Job Type: FullTime Position Summary The Supervisor of Clinical Services will oversee and coordinate the daily clinical operations and care delivery teams for Affinity Hospice of Connecticut. This role ensures that our hospice patients and their families receive compassionate, highquality care in accordance with our mission and regulatory standards. The Supervisor supports clinical staff (RNs, LPNs/LVNs, hospice aides, social workers, bereavement staff) in implementing interdisciplinary care plans, managing staffing and scheduling, monitoring quality and compliance, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and support clinical staff across home care, assisted living, and skilled nursing facility settings. Ensure timely assessments, plan of care development, and interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings for hospice patients. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (including Medicare hospice benefit requirements, documentation, licensure) as well as internal policies and accreditation standards. Oversee staff scheduling, oncall rotation, visit coverage, and staffing models to maintain patient care continuity. Collaborate with the admissions/referral team to ensure smooth clinical onboarding of new patients and transitions of care. Review clinical documentation, patient outcomes, and quality metrics; identify and implement process improvements. Provide leadership in symptom management, endoflife care best practices, patient/family education, and staff education/training. Act as a clinical resource for staff, patients and families — supporting complex clinical cases, ethical issues, and family communication. Participate in budgeting and resource planning for clinical operations as needed; monitor supply usage and equipment needs.
