Responsibilities:

  • Assist with medication refills and prior authorizations
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vitals, preparing lab specimens, and administering medications under the supervision of a physician
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms
  • Manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks as needed
  • Provide education to patients regarding their medications and treatments
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care instructions

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current NJ Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer applications and the use of electronic health records
