SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nurse Coordinator role is based in the Referral Center and serves as the first point of contact for reviewing incoming referrals across select specialties. The position is responsible for assessing referrals, determining urgency, and supporting scheduling teams by identifying appropriate timing and the most suitable physician for each patient.

To ensure strong clinical understanding and collaboration, the candidate will initially work onsite in the clinic alongside providers to learn specialty workflows and build relationships with key stakeholders. Upon successful completion of training and quality assurance benchmarks, the role will transition to a hybrid work model.

This position supports referral triage for Head and Neck Surgery, Benign Hematology, and Pediatric Orthopedics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Three (3) years of nursing experience
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
