This is anoffice-based RN role within our medical group, not a hospital setting. You’ll work in outpatientsetting, focusing on patient education, follow-up, and care coordination, while still staying hands-on and clinically active.Your day will include a mix of patient calls, education, and clinical support—triaging symptoms, reviewing results, answering medication questions, and assisting with routine visits.This role is a great fit for a nurse whoenjoys patient interaction, likes to stay busy, and values building relationshipsover time while balancing clinical care with organization and follow-through.

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Summary

The Registered Nurse II - Clinical Educator, Primary Care role is responsible for the implementation of clinical and non-clinical education in the hospital. Develops, coordinates, and implements continuing education and in-service education for all clinical departments.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing/BSN required. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: Demonstrated clinical expertise in direct patient care as normally acquired through a minimum of two years clinical experience and meets all the care delivery expectations of the expert clinical nurse within their clinical setting required. Experience in classroom instruction and/or clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of educational development and design preferred.
