Minimum Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing.

  • Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common and some complex medical conditions.

  • Current licensure in the State of California.

  • Certification as an Adult/Family/Pediatric/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

  • Previous experience with computer-based systems is required; Electronic Medical Records experience is preferred.

  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guideline

Surgery Your Role on the Team Summary The position of Nurse Practitioner PD in the Department of Surgery, requires a highly competent, independent yet team-oriented individual who will be immersed in the management and coordination of all inpatient care of surgical patients, primarily located at a new hospital in Irvine, California. The surgical patients will include general surgery and specialty surgical services, on all levels of care., including the intensive care unit. Documentation and appropriate maintenance of Medical Records for members Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives Telehealth visits & Electronic prescribing of medications as needed Maintenance & upkeep of Professional Licenses, Certifications, DEA certification, State requirements and National Certifying Agencies credentials Participates in appropriate continuing medical education programs for maintenance of Continued Medical Education and CUEs for professional licensure Current License required as NP/PA for specialty, or current Licensed PA 2+ years’ experience as practicing NP or PA ACLS, PALS and BLS certification from American Heart Association Capable and experienced with relevant procedures for proficiency in delivering care in urgent care and emergency medicine setting Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment A reliable vehicle is required for conducting home visits.
