Personal Care Services (PCS) – Under 21 Pediatric Home Care
We are currently hiring compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides to provide Personal Care Assistance to medically needy pediatric clients in Polk County, FL. PCS Caregivers provide supportive, hands-on care for pediatric clients in the home setting. This role focuses on assisting children with daily living needs while promoting comfort, safety, and a positive environment.
We are looking for individuals who are patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy working with children and families.
Service Areas:
Polk County-Lakeland, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Davenport
What You’ll Do
Assist pediatric clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support mobility, positioning, and safe transfers as needed
Provide supervision and ensure a safe environment at all times
Assist with meal preparation and feeding (as appropriate to the care plan)
Encourage age-appropriate engagement, play, and interaction
Follow the established plan of care under supervision of nursing staff
Observe and report changes in condition or behavior to the nurse or supervisor
Maintain a clean, organized care environment
Provide education on care to parents & family members
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children with special needs preferred (home care, daycare, school, or healthcare setting)
Ability to be patient, gentle, and attentive with pediatric clients
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently in a home setting
Strong communication skills with both children and caregivers
Ability to follow instructions and document care appropriately
Compassionate and dependable with a strong work ethic
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with active insurance
Ability to travel to assigned cases
Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass required level 2 background screening
