The Lexington Medical Center Emergency Department focuses on patient care, nursing satisfaction, safety, and teamwork as it continues to grow. The department offers 25 beds and includes specialized areas for core emergency care, super track services, and behavioral health support. Our primary focus is to provide patient-centered care while efficiently stabilizing patients and ensuring appropriate management of their disposition. As a hospital dedicated to serving the community, we offer a comprehensive 45-bed medical-surgical unit, a post-surgical area with a focus on orthopedics and urology, and an expanding critical care unit. While upholding the approachable environment characteristic of a community hospital, we are progressing as part of the Advocate system, implementing advanced technology to deliver essential healthcare services to our patients.   

Expectations We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
  • 2 years of ED experience preferred

We became a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in 2011 and have continuously upheld this Credential. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and stabilize patients in a dynamic and high-acuity environment. What We're Looking For Education : 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience : One year relevant experience, preferred.
