Gray Birch is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of exceptional resident care within our long-term care unit. This leadership role is responsible for managing clinical operations, supporting and developing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and resident-centered care.Job Description:

Shift: Days (M-F)
$20,000 sign-on bonus potential for experienced Nurses!
- Available to RNs with at least one year of nursing experience
- Must commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Not available to current MaineGeneral employees or former employees separated for less than one year
What You'll Do:
- Develops and implements specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements.
- Plans and monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.
What You'll Need:
- Current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Previous leadership or management experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, quality standards, and resident-centered care practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with residents, families, providers, and staff.
