Job Requirements

Our Licensed Practical Nurses are part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role is all about the relationships and the bond you will create with the patients and their families.



Work Experience
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state licensure.
  • Additional IV medication class, if required by state guidelines.
  • Meets all state/licensing requirements.
  • ESRD experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective communication with clients and staff.

Provide individualized nursing care to patients based upon the physician’s medical care plan, the nursing assessment, and the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the patient. Obtain intravenous (IV) access, and prepare medications and immunizations for administration. Review immunization records and unit Standard Operating Procedures to select required immunizations, correct dosages, and routes of administration. Administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular immunizations to all age groups via established protocols. Educate patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures and documents teaching. Instruct patients and/or family regarding normal verses adverse reactions to immunizations and treatment for normal reactions of discomfort. Review laboratory results and bring abnormal results to attention of physician. Document patients' chief complaints and other pertinent information in the health record. Qualifications US Citizenship required A current license to practice as a practical or vocational nurse in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. At least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
