As a Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA-I) at Holly Hill Healthcare Center, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care. Effective April 2026, the Maryland Board of Nursing redesignated the former Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) credential as Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA-I). Individuals who previously held or currently hold a Maryland GNA certification satisfy the certification requirements for this position and are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
Provide compassionate, respectful personal care while promoting resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident condition, behavior, or needs to the licensed nurse.
Assist with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and other supportive care activities in accordance with resident care plans.
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Support infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance practices.
Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional resident outcomes.
Uphold all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Active Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA-I) certification in good standing and current listing on the Maryland Board of Nursing Nursing Assistant Registry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented with a commitment to providing exceptional resident care.
Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or post-acute care experience preferred, but not required.
