Schedule: Monday/Thursday 8a-4:30p, Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 7:45a-5p

Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations. Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests. Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system. Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies. Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps. Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information. Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary. Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results. Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions. Monitors and manages inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do: Schedule: Monday - Fridays 8am-5pm w/ 1 half day (8-130pm). No weekend no holidays. Rotating to 4025 N Western Ave 2 days out of the week. As a Medical Assistant , you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will: Welcome patients and support their transition into care. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings. Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures. Administer medications and vaccines as directed. Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing. Document care accurately in the electronic health record. Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions. Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines. Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
