Required Skills:

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.

  • At least 1 year experience as a RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.
  • Currently licenses in the state.
  • BLS
  • Current ACLS / PALS preferred or included in education plan
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

What does the Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) do? Under minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Demonstrates knowledge of physiological, psychological, and developmental and age specific differences in the patient population including late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and the elderly.
