Responsibilities

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health California provides programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in Goleta, CA in this role, you would be responsible for providing supervision, direction and consultation to center nursing staff. Additional responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

  • Communicating with physician’s regarding client’s needs, the nursing assessments and recommendations.
  • Collaborating with nurses and members of the treatment team to ensure the client’s well- being.
  • Responsible for hiring and managing nursing staff.
  • Performing assessments/evaluations for potential clients and create nursing care plans as needed.
  • Teaching medication administration to staff monthly.
  • Educating clients, families and others on health, wellbeing and disease prevention.
  • Attending residents’ meetings as needed, Provides health related update to team and family as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
  • Graduate of an approved nursing school.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience providing patient care.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses preferred.

Job Description Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Psychiatry/Addiction Medicine Unit. The unit offers voluntary, short-term inpatient treatment for adults 18 years of age and older. We assist our patients in completing medical detoxification and withdrawal from alcohol, sedatives, and opiates. We also provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care. We treat the entire range of psychiatric illnesses and provide a safe and supportive environment in which to recover. Treatment modalities include group therapy, occupational therapy, spiritual care, yoga and movement therapy, music and art therapy, case management and discharge planning. Job Description This position is Sign-On Bonus Eligible. Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Located in the city of Santa Barbara, California, Cottage Children's Medical Center is recognized today as a regional referral center for the medical needs of infants, toddlers, and children throughout the tri-county area. The primary focus of the 22 bed, Level III, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (served by a dedicated RN/RCP Transport team) is the provision of critical nursing care to the infant in crisis. The neonatal patient may suffer from a wide variety of medical conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, meconium aspiration syndrome, hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, sepsis and surgical conditions requiring pre and post-operative care. Care ranges from the acute phase to patient needs or conditions necessitating close observation and interventions. The NICU utilizes a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach to meet the patient's needs throughout their hospital stay and we recognize the importance of parents and family as being an important members of the team.
