Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license

Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.

Overview: Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. The Admit Recovery Unit is a supportive, collaborative team that provides superior patient care, in a highly skilled, fast paced environment. The ARU team is responsible for pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery of invasive cardiology patients, receiving clinically advanced, lifesaving Cardiac Cath, interventional Radiology and Electrophysiology procedures. ARU is open Monday-Friday from 6-8:30pm and the team works 3×12-hour shifts. There are no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call hours. Responsibilities: Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift.
