Position Summary

Responsibilities

You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols
Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team
Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
Current BLS Certification required
ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
Certification in specialty area preferred
One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $44.13 - $85.17 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. Reviews available patient information related to case, including home visits, to determine hospice/home care needs. Assigns appropriate hospice personnel to case as needed. Conferences with MEDICAL DIRECTOR regarding any questions about an individual's eligibility for services. 2. Reviews and evaluates each case through a variety of means such as home visits, conferences, record review and the services provided by clinicians; discusses and verifies impressions, instructs and guides clinicians to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services; and is available at all times during operating hours to assist clinicians as appropriate. 3. Reviews patient's medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures and clinical course. 4. Performs medical records management and workflow in EMR system 5. Assists clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals, in setting priorities, and in developing plan of care. 6. Attends case conference meetings with hospice personnel to facilitate coordination of care and discussion of interdisciplinary group involvement. 7. Conducts quarterly record reviews and communicates findings and recommendations to Clinical Director/Director of Patient Care Services and hospice personnel. 8. Assists in the screening and interviewing process of new employees and makes recommendations for employment of individuals. Assists in the orientation of new employees. 9. Assists in the formulating, revising, implementing, and evaluating organization policies, procedures, goals and objectives, both short and long range. 10. Complies with accepted professional standards and principles. 11. Assesses health needs of community and assists in the development of plan(s)/ program(s) to meet needs.
